Israel's Security Cabinet is scheduled to meet Thursday to vote on a proposal to authorize Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant to determine the country's response to last week's Iranian missile strike, the Israel Today website reported.

Gallant said Wednesday that Israel's response “will be powerful, precise and, above all, unexpected,” adding that Iran “will not understand what happened or how it happened.”

During a visit to IDF Intelligence Directorate Unit 9900, which is responsible for collecting visual information, Gallant also said that while the Iranian attack was “aggressive,” the missiles “did not work because they were inaccurate.”

“The Air Force was not affected - all runways are operational, our operations continue, no aircraft were damaged, no soldiers or civilians were injured,” he said.
