European countries and the US do not want the relations between Middle Eastern countries to develop in a calm atmosphere. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated this at the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, Friday.
"European countries and the United States do not want the relations between the countries of the [Middle East] region to continue in a calm direction," the press service of Pezeshkian quoted him as saying.
The Iranian president added that the situation in the Middle East has become critical due to the fact that Israel does not recognize "any international legal and humanitarian framework."
