Bilateral defense consultations between Armenia and Germany were held in Berlin on Wednesday and Thursday, with the participation of the Armenian delegation led by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia (MoD).
During the meetings held at the Federal Ministry of Defense of Germany, within the Departments of International Security Policy and International Cooperation, various matters concerning international and regional security were discussed, alongside the prospects for the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the MoD of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Ayvazyan provided an overview of the politico-military situation around Armenia and its ongoing developments, highlighting in particular the Crossroads of Peace initiative developed by the Armenian government, as well as the transformation process of the Armenian Armed Forces.
Also, both parties reviewed and expressed mutual satisfaction with the progress of their bilateral defense cooperation in 2024, underscoring its considerable potential for its further development.
And as a result of the discussions, the 2025 cooperation plan in the defense sector was agreed upon, including a range of activities related to exchange of experience, education, and training, as well as some other domains of mutual interest.
