The head of Taiwan's administration, Lai Ching-te, is a " war detonator," and the military exercises that began near Taiwan this morning are to become the separatist forces of the island. This is noted in a commentary by China Central Television (CCTV) regarding a statement by Colonel Li Xi, spokesperson of the Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), that the Joint Sword-2024B drills include the blockade of key ports and areas on the island.
The commentary notes that Taiwan's chief executive, Lai Ching-te, presented "Taiwan independence" as a "new two-state theory" in a speech on October 10, "thus trying to sever ties between Taiwan and the mainland, stripping them of their basic identity."
Lai called himself a "pragmatic supporter of Taiwan's independence," the article emphasizes, but in reality he is a "pragmatic war detonator."
"The Chinese People's Liberation Army has enough strength to suppress all separatist plots for 'Taiwan independence,'" CCTV concluded. "No one and no force should underestimate the determination, strong will, and powerful ability of the People's Army to protect national sovereignty, territorial integrity. The full reunification of the homeland must be achieved, and it will be achieved."
