Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, met with the Speaker of Lok Sabha (Parliament) of India, Om Birla, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Discussing a wide scope of bilateral interest, the parties underscored the deepening nature of Armenian-Indian relations and their importance for the two countries, the NA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

At the core of their discussion was the taking of measures aimed at parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and the further deepening and development of their friendly relations.

The interlocutors touched also upon the current situation in Armenia’s region and the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
