A joint declaration was adopted following the results of the meeting in the “3+3” format held on October 18 in Istanbul, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that the meeting with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey considered issues related to the establishment of lasting peace and stability, as well as regional development in the South Caucasus.

“The sides exchanged views on deepening regional cooperation through the implementation of concrete projects. A Joint Declaration was adopted as a result of the meeting. The Joint Declaration emphasizes the contribution of regional economic cooperation in building confidence between the countries, as well as in ensuring prosperity and stability. It was agreed to explore opportunities for cooperation in transportation, communications, trade, energy, investment and cooperation. The Declaration also emphasized the importance of promoting peace and stability in the region through dialogue. After the meeting, the ministers were received by President Erdogan. Turkey will continue to cooperate with the countries of the region to promote lasting peace and strengthen cooperation in the South Caucasus,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
