The conversation between the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, during the meeting in the Outreach/BRICS Plus format did not interfere with the general discussion at the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president, stated this in response to TASS' question, and noted that international meetings are always used for bilateral contacts.
"No. It did not interfere. This is common practice. Heads of states use multilateral formats for bilateral contacts," said the Kremlin spokesperson.
