Israeli military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari claims that the objectives of the strike on Iran “were successfully achieved,” reports Times of Israel.

"The counterstrike was completed, and its objectives were met," Hagari stated at a press conference.

According to Israeli media, the IDF strike targeted Iranian missile production facilities and air defense batteries "in response to direct Iranian attacks on Israel earlier this month and in April, as well as ongoing attacks by its proxies throughout the Middle East."

"Israel now has a broader freedom of action, even in Iran. Iran struck Israel twice... and paid for it. We are focused on the goals of the war in Gaza and Lebanon. It is Iran that continues to push for wide regional escalation," Hagari asserted.

He noted that the targets hit in Iran overnight were selected from a "broad list of targets."

"We will know how to select additional targets and strike them if necessary. This is a clear signal: anyone who threatens Israel will pay a high price," he added.

The IDF spokesperson also stated that if Iran "makes the mistake of further escalation, Israel will respond."

"If the regime in Iran makes a mistake and initiates a new round of escalation, we will be compelled to react. Our message is clear: all those who threaten the state of Israel and aim to drag the region into broader escalation will pay a high price. Today, we demonstrated that we have both the capability and the resolve to act decisively, and we are prepared—both in offense and defense—to protect the state of Israel and the people of Israel," he added.

Earlier, Iran's Mehr agency reported that Israeli forces struck military facilities on Iranian territory, causing "limited damage."

According to a statement from Iran’s air defense forces, they successfully repelled the Israeli strikes.
