The president of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, said in an interview with AP that she accuses the ruling Georgian Dream party of using Russian methods and forms, as well as the possible assistance of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) to the election process in Georgia, SOVA reports.
Zourabichvili said that the October 26 parliamentary election in Georgia was a fraud with the use of skilled means.
"But this time it happened by combining the use of technology," added the Georgian president.
When asked what she meant by "use of technology," Zourabichvili responded: "The Armenian carousel."
"We call it ‘Armenian carousel’ here; I don't know if they call it ‘Georgian carousel.’ It means that some time before the elections, they started to take the identity cards from the socially unprotected people, from the families of the prisoners, under various pretexts; no one could understand why they do it.
In fact, they were used in order to vote by the same person. With the help of one certificate and various electronic devices, it became possible to do it about 17 times. They had a large number of identification certificates or numbers," said the head of the Georgian state.
