Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan will be in Colombia on a working visit, from Tuesday to Thursday, to attend the sixteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).

During COP16, the Armenian president will deliver an address and meet with the president of Colombia and high-level representatives of partner countries.

COP16 is the regular conference of member states of the CBD, which is held from October 21 to November 1 in Santiago de Cali, Colombia.

COP16 aims to take action to address the interconnected crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.
