Our relations with the Russian Federation are very transparent, we are connected by strong economic ties. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this during Thursday’s debates on the 2025 state budget draft at the joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly of Armenia.
"There are disagreements [between us] on some foreign policy issues, we don't always share each other's views. This refers to separate one or two platforms where we are members together—for example, the CSTO," added the Armenian FM.
Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia's view on this matter is also well-known.
"We believe that the CSTO did not properly respond to the [Azerbaijani] military aggression against the borders and sovereign territory of Armenia, etc. But, as I mentioned, there are a number of directions in which we continue cooperation—for example, within the EAEU frameworks," the Armenian FM stressed.
