The US military this week carried out airstrikes on several Islamic State (IS) camps in the Syrian desert, killing up to 35 of the group's fighters. This was reported to the US Central Command (CENTCOM).
The command said the targets of Monday's strikes were senior leaders of the “Islamic State,” VOA reported. The group itself has been recognized by the United States as a terrorist group. There were no civilian casualties, according to CENTCOM.
