A joint statement by the Shabak (General Security Service) and the police on the identification of another Israeli recruit has been published, reports Today in Israel.

According to the statement, a married couple from Lod, Rafael and Lala Guliyev, aged about 32, have been arrested.

According to the statement, the Guliyevs were recruited by a certain Elkhan Aghayev, 56, an Azerbaijani, acting, according to the proposed version, on behalf of Iranian special services.

Guliyevs carried out missions to collect intelligence on national infrastructure, security facilities and followed a female scientist from the Institute for Security Studies INSS, whom the Iranians intended to assassinate. And the Guliyevs were supposedly tasked with finding someone who could be the assassin.
