Israel's agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon may influence Iran's decision to strike back at the Jewish state after the October 26 attack, Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian has said.
"They [i.e. Israel] know well that any miscalculation against the Islamic Republic of Iran will be met with a crushing response. Only a review of their behavior, agreement to a ceasefire and the killing of innocent people in the region can influence how we [i.e. Iran] react—and with what force," Pezeshkian said, reports IRNA news agency.
The Iranian president placed all accountability for the escalation of tensions in the region on Israel, which "despite [Tehran's] restraint and the advice of some countries, continued its crimes and expanded the scope of its aggression."
