The ruling Georgian Dream Party has not submitted a constitutional motion to impeach President Salome Zourabichvili due to the lack of the necessary 100 seats in the parliament, inform the sources from Georgia's ruling force, Publica reports.

On October 7, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, again had announced the launch of the impeachment process against the president. And Zourabichvili’s foreign visits without government permission were cited as the reason.

The Constitutional Court off Georgia had announced on October 16 that Zourabichvili had violated the country’s constitution and granted the impeachment request of the ruling party.

The Georgian Dream, however, did not succeed in the removal of the president, as only 86 MPs—instead of the required 100—voted in favor of Zourabichvili’s impeachment, reports apsny.ge.
