The US and EU aspiration to oust Russia from the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization process intensifies security threats in the region, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told RIA Novosti.

“We believe it is important to consolidate the peace process in a regional paradigm, among friends - South Caucasus countries and adjacent partner states, excluding destructive interference from outside. The aspiration of Washington and Brussels to push Russia out from the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization process only strengthens security threats in the region,” Lavrov said.

He added that Russia is ready, as before, to provide partner assistance for the successful completion of negotiations between Baku and Yerevan on the basis of trilateral agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2020-2022 in the form and volume that will be demanded by both negotiating parties.
