The relations between Ankara and Yerevan will be normalized after the signing of the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has announced.

"Relations between Turkey and Armenia will be normalized after the signing of the [peace] treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia," Fidan told Turkiye newspaper.

According to him, Ankara considers the achievement of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia as an important element of ensuring stability in the South Caucasus.

"We [i.e. Turkey] provide maximum support for reaching agreements, and are happy to see that the [Armenian and Azerbaijani] parties are approaching them. The latest decisions on border delimitation [between Armenia and Azerbaijan] are a good example of this progress," said the Turkish FM.
