Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Indian activist Kailash Satyarthi, the PM’s office informs.

The premier welcomed Satyarthi’s visit to Armenia and his participation in the international conference "Road to social justice: decent work" held in Yerevan. Also, Pashinyan highly appreciated the activities of Satyarthi toward combating child exploitation and access to public education, emphasizing that steps aimed at protecting children's rights are in the center of attention of the Armenian government. Also, the PM emphasized that the protection and realization of children's right to education, as well as providing equal opportunities for education, is one of the key goals of the state education policy of Armenia.

In turn, Kailash Satyarthi thanked for the warm welcome and invitation to the aforesaid conference held in Yerevan. Also, he highly appreciated the child-centered policy being implemented by the Armenian government. The Nobel Peace Prize laureate expressed willingness to continue cooperation in the social sphere, including sharing experience in protecting children's rights.
