Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vahan Kostanyan assures that the matter of the return of Armenian captives in Azerbaijan is always on Armenia's agenda.
"Various representatives of Armenia raise this issue during all their meetings," Kostanyan told reporters after the Armenian government’s cabinet meeting Thursday.
According to Kostanyan, although there is no issue of the return of captives in the draft of the peace treaty expected to be signed with Azerbaijan, this matter is raised in the general logic of the peace process.
The deputy FM noted that the Armenian side is in constant contact with the partners of the Red Cross, and information about the health condition of these captives is sent to the Armenian foreign ministry.
"In addition, we actively work with international law enforcement organizations and various other partners," Kostanyan emphasized.
