During his address at the European Political Community summit in Budapest, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed hope that the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan could be signed. French ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies informed about this on X.

"The President of the French Republic, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, at the European Political Community conference in Budapest: ‘It is very important to do everything to build a future between Armenia and Azerbaijan. And I hope that the peace treaty [between the two countries] can be signed.’ ‘We Europeans (...), no longer want imperialism, and we no longer want the revision of borders in our continent,’" the French diplomat wrote—in Armenian.
