Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev on the sidelines of the Budapest summit of the European Political Community.

The interlocutors discussed Armenia-Bulgaria cooperation, as well as various matters of mutual interest, the Armenian PM’s office informs.

In particular, Prime Minister Pashinyan presented to his interlocutor the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the latest developments in the negotiations, and the firm positions of the Armenian side. The Prime Minister emphasized that Armenia expects that as a result of the ongoing discussions, it will be possible to reach an agreement on all points of the draft agreement and sign a peace treaty as a result. Nikol Pashinyan reflected also on the Armenian government's Crossroads of Peace project, its goals and principles.

Rumen Radev attached importance to the ongoing process and the provision of peace and stability in the region. Also, the Bulgarian president expressed hope for the unblocking of regional channels and welcomed the proactive steps taken by the Armenian government in that regard.

The parties exchanged views on Armenia-EU cooperation, too.
