Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Aram I, has sent a congratulatory letter to Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election.

In the letter, Aram I noted that it is with great joy that they welcome Trump as the President-elect of the US and warmly congratulate him on his election, which is sure to open a promising chapter in the US history.

Aram I added that Trump is taking responsibility at a crucial moment in the history of the world, and expressed confidence that in a world full of terrible anxieties and violations of human rights, Trump will play a leading role in the establishment of peace based on justice and the protection and recognition of human rights.

Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia noted that they are sure also that Trump, with his rich experience, strong leadership and broad international connections, will be able to face, with firm faith and courage, the troubles affecting humanity.
