General Motors (GM) will shut down production of its Cadillac XT4 crossover in the United States in January 2025. This model’s assembly line at the GM Kansas plant will be disassembled, and workers on the line will be laid off.

By American standards, the compact Cadillac XT4 crossover is the cheapest crossover of the Cadillac brand in the US, Drom.ru reports.

Structurally, it is based on the GM front-wheel drive platform and is equipped with a 2.0-liter GM Ecotech turbocharged gasoline engine (240 hp, 350 Nm) and a 9-speed automatic transmission. It is available in both front- and all-wheel drive, with a rear-wheel drive clutch transmission.

The Cadillac XT4 has been available in the US since 2018. Production of the Cadillac XT4 in China for the local market, however, will continue after January 2025. The majority of Cadillac XT4 sales have always come from China.
