Ukrainian authorities were developing their "victory plan," taking into account the fact that Republican Donald Trump could become the next US president, sources say, reports the Financial Times (FT).

The plan was developed in an effort to win over Trump, who has been pushing for a defunding of Ukraine and an early end to the Russian-Ukrainian war. Ukraine's European and US allies, including senior Republicans, have offered advice on how to better shape the proposals to ensure Trump works closely with Kyiv rather than cutting critical aid to Ukraine, Ukrainian and European officials said.

In the aforesaid "victory plan," two proposals have been prepared specifically for Trump. The first is the replacement of some American troops in Europe with Ukrainian ones after the end of the war. And second, Ukraine will share its most important natural resources with Western partners. The second proposal, according to the FT, was drafted by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham's office.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had presented the two aforesaid proposals in his meeting with Donald Trump in New York in September. And an FT source with knowledge of this meeting said Trump was interested in these proposals.
