Noting his administration's desire to strengthen relations with all countries of the world, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian said that Iran-US clashes in regional and international spheres are inevitable, Tasnim reported.

In a meeting with a group of Iran's former foreign ministers in Tehran on Tuesday, Pezeshkian said his administration believes in closeness with friends and shows tolerance toward enemies.

“To solve domestic problems and develop the country, in addition to resolving domestic affairs, we need to mend international relations, ease tensions and improve conditions for interaction and communication with regional and global countries,” he added.

“I believe that even with regard to the US, whether we like it or not, we will eventually have to face this country in the regional and international arena. Therefore, it is better for us to manage this sphere ourselves,” the Iranian president added, reaffirming his administration's commitment to the main strategies and approaches of the Iranian establishment.

Pezeshkian noted that his administration seeks to expand relations with all countries of the world, including European states.

“Negotiations with European countries are underway, but the Zionist regime has tried to bring disruption and complicate the situation in this direction with its recent atrocious actions,” he added.
