Azerbaijan and Armenia will return to discussing the text of the peace treaty next month, Hikmat Hajiyev, assistant to the Azerbaijani president, told TASS.

"Currently, the main topic of Azerbaijan's agenda is COP29—until the end of November," Hajiyev said on the sidelines of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

"Of course, starting from December, a new process will begin between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the discussion and continuation of negotiations on the text of the peace treaty," he added.

According to Hajiyev, the text of this document contains certain questions.

"Therefore, discussions and negotiations continue at the expert level because the Armenian party did not respond to our proposals in time regarding the text of the peace treaty. And so, in this context, we feel a delayed process. For sure there will be a new process from December onwards," added the Azerbaijani presidential aide.
