Georgia is ready to play the role of a mediator in the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia—if they want it. This was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in an interview given to the First Channel television of Georgia.
"If there is an interest toward Georgia—for example, as a mediator or to be more actively engaged in another way in the process of ensuring negotiations—we [i.e. Georgia] always state our readiness in this matter. This readiness is still valid today. If there is a corresponding interest, we are ready to offer our help and support to our two neighboring countries," said Kobakhidze
