The officials and reporters attending the COP29 climate conference in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, are urged to visit the Armenians held captive in Azerbaijan. Well-known Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg announced this during the protest Friday in front of the United Nations (UN) office in Armenia.

As reported earlier, a protest under the slogan "Stop Greenwashing Genocide!" was taking place in Yerevan—outside the UN office in Armenia.

Thunberg, who refused to participate in the ongoing COP29 climate conference because it is being held in Azerbaijan, also participated in this demonstration. Subsequently, the protesters handed a letter to the heads of the UN office in Armenia.

In the letter, they asked to convey to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres that they would like him to go to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and try to find out why there are no more Armenians living there. Also, they asked Guterres to visit the Armenians being illegally held in Baku.
