Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed that he sacked a number of high-ranking officials.

"Dear compatriots, taking into account the mass discussions that appeared in the press and social media, I consider it necessary to inform that I have asked several senior officials to leave their positions.

The reasons for making such a request are not personal, but systemic, which I have spoken about publicly.

At the same time, I cannot deny the merits of our noted colleagues in the development of our statehood, and I thank [them] all for their contribution and understanding of my request," Pashinyan wrote on Facebook.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am informed that according to press reports, resignations have been submitted by Rustam Badasyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee; Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; Vahe Ghazaryan, Minister of Internal Affairs; and Argishti Kyaramyan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
