The bill on the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2025 envisages the strengthening of the military potential as one of the main expenditures. This was announced by Arzu Nagiyev, Chairman of the Defence, Security and Counter-Corruption Committee, at the joint meeting of four parliamentary committees of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Nagiyev noted that this draft law provides for the increase of funds for Azerbaijan’s defense and national security to 8.4 billion manats (about $4,941,174,000), which is 1.3 billion manats more than in 2024.

The bill takes into account as well tasks related to the full staffing of defense and law enforcement agencies in Azerbaijani-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent territories.
