EU diplomatic chief Josep Borrell reacted during a press conference on Thursday to the news about the issuance of an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country's former Defense Minister Yoav Galant.

He said the warrants issued by the Court are not political and the court's decision should be respected and implemented, Euronews reported.

“This is not a political decision, it is a decision of a court, an international court of justice. And the court's decision should be respected and implemented,” he said.

The Netherlands and France also reacted earlier to the news of the arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Galant.

The Netherlands said it was ready to act on the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, if necessary.

France, for its part, said that Paris' reaction to the International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be in line with the court's statute.
