YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Deputy Attorney General Armen Danielyan received on Monday representatives of Coalition of Women against Violence protest action, including Mariam Gevorgyan, who suffered by her ex-husband.

The participants handed a letter addressed to the Attorney General of Armenia. They expressed their concern on the criminal proceedings regarding M. Gevorgyan and M.B. cases, experiencing violence during marriage, Attorney General’s Office press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Danielyan stated that the case is under the direct control of the Attorney General. Special tasks were assigned to reveal the objective reality and to give a proper and legal estimation for the accused. In the meantime, the main accused Haykanush Mikaelyan, who was wanted, is arrested in St Petersburg and will be transferred to Armenia on Monday.
