The legitimacy of attacking Armenia has been eliminated. Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, stated this during a briefing with reporters in the NA Wednesday.

"After the war [in Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020], there was a situation when we [i.e. Armenia] were expecting an attack [by Azerbaijan] every minute, that the wave that came to Karabakh would not stop. There were attempts of that, they occurred during the 2021 [parliamentary] elections [in Armenia]. So, how did we keep all that? We kept [them] thanks to our MFA, our parliamentary diplomacy, our group existing in PACE [i.e. the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe]," said the NA speaker.

According to Simonyan, Azerbaijan worked with the countries with which Armenia did not work.

"And today we are working with those countries so that they do not to work with those countries against us," added the Armenian parliament speaker.
