Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov on Friday met with a delegation led by Joshua Huck, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State overseeing policy for Southern Europe and the Caucasus, APA reports.

"According to the report, at the meeting, bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, as well as the prospects for the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia were discussed.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister informed the other party about the situation in the region in the post-conflict period and the negotiations on a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia," the Azerbaijan MFA stated, APA reports.

It is noted as well that "Despite significant progress in the negotiations on a peace agreement, the ongoing claims against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in the Constitution of Armenia, legislative acts, as well as in international organizations and courts, were once again mentioned, and the importance of abandoning these claims was emphasized."
