Law enforcement officers have detained more than 400 people participating in protests in Georgia since November 28, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"(...) more than 30 people have been identified and brought to justice under criminal law within the framework of the protest held since November 28. Furthermore, 372 persons have been administratively detained and proceedings have been initiated against them, out of which 62 have already been sentenced to administrative imprisonment, and more than 100 have been fined as a form of punishment," the statemen reads, in particular.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia added that more than 150 police officers were injured during the protests.

On November 28, protests began in capital Tbilisi and several other Georgian cities after the authorities announced the suspension—until 2028—of talks on the country's accession to the European Union.
