I cannot comment on what the prime minister said. I think it would be right to talk to the foreign ministry. Yeghishe Kirakosyan, representative of Armenia for international legal affairs, told this to reporters in the National Assembly Monday—and referring to PM Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that Armenia and Azerbaijan can mutually withdraw their lawsuits against each other from international courts after the signing of a peace treaty between them.

Kirakosyan informed that there are lawsuits on the part of Azerbaijan in two courts—at the European Court of Human Rights, and the International Court of Justice—and Armenia has two arbitration processes.

"You know we have raised the issue of the return of [Armenian] captives [in Azerbaijan]. But it is an issue discussed more on political platforms. Legal processes more guarantee the provision of legal guarantees to the persons being held there," added the representative of Armenia for international legal affairs.
