French President Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation with the honorary chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili, informed the ruling party, SOVA reports.

"Macron expressed concern about the situation in Georgia, and expressed his wish to contribute to the complete settlement of this situation. Bidzina Ivanishvili, in turn, thanked the French president for the initiative and supported the idea of joint efforts," Georgian Dream stated.

Ivanishvili and Macron agreed that they will meet again in the coming days and assess the progress achieved.

The telephone conversation lasted for an hour, according to the Georgian Dream.
