The Israeli army said the Israeli Air Force is continuing preparations for possible strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities “as Tehran's proxy groups in the Middle East weaken and the Assad regime in Syria falls,” the Times of Israel reported.

According to the media outlet, the Israeli army believes that “an isolated Iran could continue to pursue its nuclear program.”

“Due to the dramatic changes in the Middle East, especially the fall of the Assad regime, which allowed the Israeli Air Force to take out the vast majority of Syria's air defense systems, the Israeli military believes there is now an opportunity to strike Iran's nuclear facilities,” the Times of Israel reported.
