Armenia's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan on Wednesday received a delegation led by Seyyed Reza Salehi-Amiri, Iran's Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts.
The economy minister noted that Armenia attaches importance to the friendship with Iran and highly values bilateral relations, which were formed as a result of centuries-old historical and cultural cooperation, Armenia's Ministry of Economy informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
During the meeting, the deepening of existing relations between the two countries were discussed, including the prospects of cooperation in tourism, raising awareness of the existing potential in both countries in this regard, increasing tourist flows, and a number of topics related to the development of medical tourism between Armenia and Iran.
They reflected also the holding of the regular meeting of the technical commission of cooperation in the tourism of the two countries, as well as the possibility of organizing a familiarization visit for the members of media from Iran to Armenia in 2025.
