MP Vakhtang Golandzia was killed in the shooting that took place in the parliament of Abkhazia, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia informed RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia informed RIA Novosti that two lawmakers were injured in the legislature of Abkhazia due to a shooting. A scuffle occurred between MPs Adgur Kharazia, Kam Kvarchia, and Vakhtang Golandzia. Subsequently, Kharazia fired several shots, wounding Kvarchia and Golandzia.

"Golandzia died; he was wounded in the head. Kvarchia's injury is not life-threatening; he was wounded in the shoulder," the Ministry of Internal Affairs Abkhazia had informed.
