Despite talks about the supply of “Azerbaijani” gas (actually Russian gas) to the Ukrainian gas transportation system, the most likely scenario so far is the completion of the agreement and a complete cessation of Russian supplies through Ukrainian territory. This is stated in an article by the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.

This would result in Ukraine losing $1 billion a year from transit and Russia losing about $6.5 billion a year from sales, which is now a third of their pipeline gas supplies to the EU.
