Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar sent a letter to U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield, chair of the UN Security Council, asking her to convene an emergency meeting to condemn the Houthi attacks and “Iran's support for the organization's violence” the Times of Israel reported.

In his address, Saar cited three attacks on Israel in the past week by the Yemeni movement, one of which destroyed a school in Ramat Gan.

“I must emphasize that the constant hostile actions of the Houthis are a blatant violation of international law,” he wrote, adding that they pose a ”constant threat to international peace and security.”

Earlier, he instructed Israeli diplomats in Europe to push host countries to place the Houthis on the list of terrorist organizations.
