An unidentified person robbed a Parisian department store of the Printemps chain in the early morning hours on Tuesday, and stole 300,000 euros worth of jewelry, LCI television reports.
The thief entered the department store at the Place de la Nation at night by breaking the window. He spent about 25 minutes inside emptying the windows of the Mauboussin jewelry boutique before speeding away from the crime scene.
The alarm was not sounded during the robbery until later in the morning on Tuesday, when the department store’s security guard who came on his shift discovered the traces of the robbery.
The police have not yet managed to identify of the robber. According to preliminary data, he took 300,000 euros worth of jewelry from the store.
