Palestinian writer, poet, and journalist Mohammad Hijazi was killed  in northern Gaza’s Jabalia refugee camp as a result of an Israeli airstrike.

Since October 7, 2023, the total number of media representatives killed during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has reached 220, reports Al Jazeera television.

Hijazi was among nearly 90 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks across the territory in the last 24 hours, according to a statement from the Gaza Ministry of Health on Sunday.

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate reported on Sunday that the Israeli military committed 84 violations and crimes against Palestinian journalists during the previous month. Most of these incidents took place in the Gaza Strip, where ten media workers were killed.
