The building of the Sahag-Mesrob Armenian Christian School was also burnt in the wildfires that broke out in Los Angeles, reports Arevelk.

The extent of the damage to this school has not been reported, but a US source of Arevelk says the school is located in Altadena, on a hill, is very close to the wildfires, and is believed to have sustained extensive damage.

Sahag-Mesrob Armenian Christian School is a private school, founded in 1980, on the initiative of a group of faithful of the local Armenian community. It has a kindergarten and a secondary school section. In addition to the state curriculum taught in English, Armenian language, history, and religion are taught as well.
