Following a long day of mandatory consultations held at Baabda Palace, Lebanon's parliament voted in favor of Judge Nawaf Salam as the country's prime minister, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
According to media reports, 85 parliamentarians voted in favor of Salam, incumbent Prime Minister Najib Mikati received 9 votes, while 34 other MPs did not put forward a tie-breaking nomination.
