YEREVAN. – Armenian Government held National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSC) session headed by the PM Tigran Sargsyan on Friday.
Sargsyan stated that Armenia continues a process, which aims to secure the state’s proper participation in Sustainable Development Rio+20 Earth Summit to be held in Brazil next year, governmental press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Despite many obstacles, Armenia activated sustainable development principles involvement since 2000. Besides, UN evaluated the state as one, meeting tendencies of the sustainable development.
Currently Armenia runs preparation works for the Summit, which aims to evaluate work done in the past, analyze the existing issues and offer solutions and strategy for further development.
Armenia should also analyze its past, achievements and failures since 1992, the government mentioned.
