Armenian economy minister Gevorg Papoyan on Tuesday received a delegation led by Ara Shahverdian, the head of the Iran-Armenia Friendship Group of the Iranian parliament, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Welcoming the delegation's visit to Armenia, Papoyan emphasized that the economic relations between Armenia and Iran are at a high level, and in order to maintain and deepen them, it is necessary to intensify practical steps toward increasing the amount of trade and expanding the domains of cooperation.

Then, the parties discussed the most prospective domains of cooperation in the economic sector. In this context, the possibilities of expanding cooperation in industry, agriculture, and tourism were particularly highlighted.
