Armenian National Assembly (NA) vice-speaker Ruben Rubinyan on Tuesday received a delegation from the Iran-Armenia Friendship Group of the Iranian Majlis—the parliament, the NA informs Armenia News-NEWS.am.

Welcoming the members of this delegation, Rubinyan noted that Armenia greatly highlights its millennium-old friendship with Iran. He stated that in recent years the political dialogue and cooperation had considerably intensified between the two countries.

Also, the NA deputy speaker underscored the importance of the interparliamentary cooperation and the activities of the parliamentary friendship groups, considering it also a key platform for strengthening of relations between the peoples of Armenia and Iran.

Reference was made also to the security in the region, as well as to the steps being taken for establishing peace.
