Today, about 13 million people are under an “extreme danger” warning, meaning there is an extremely high risk of the fire spreading quickly, according to NBC News.

 The warning is in effect through tomorrow. Santa Ana winds will peak this morning, with gusts of 50-75 miles per hour possible and relative humidity around 10-25%.

Areas of greatest risk today include: Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Westlake Village, Simi Valley, San Fernando, Fillmore and Pyramid Lake.

Winds are forecast to ease slightly this afternoon, with gusts of 40-55 mph (64-88 km/h - ed.), but relative humidity is forecast to drop sharply by 8-15%.

From tonight through tomorrow morning, wind gusts will increase again to 45-65 mph (72-104 km/h) and humidity will be 10 to 25%. The winds will subside closer to evening tomorrow. Although winds are forecast to ease tomorrow, a critical fire danger remains.
